Deck Hatches
Houdini hatches have a worldwide reputation for robust construction, quality and economic pricing.  The hatches can be provided with or without safety bars and come complete with two casement handles for effective and positive closing and a built in ventilation stay.  With an above deck height of a mere 25mm these hatches are extremely streamlined and cause the minimum obstruction on the deck.

Materials and Construction

Frames are constructed in marine grade aluminium (HE9).  All joints are sealed against ingress of water, fish-plated and screwed.  The seal is of extruded neoprene or similar.  The hatches are glazed with 6mm tinted toughened glass with the exception of the Type 6 which has 8mm.  

 

Clear and obscured glass are available with an additional choice of bronze, grey or green colour tints.

 

All hatches are silver anodised as standard, colour anodised or painted finishes are available at extra cost.

Optional Extras

Backing trims, Type 1,2 or 3 are available for all hatches.  Multi-position ventilation stays are available on hatches types 5 and 6.

Installation

All hatches must be fitted to a flat surface and bedded down on a good quality non-setting mastic.  The outer flange is drilled and countersunk for no.8 self-tapping screws or M5 machine screws.
